- PROCESS WORK -
It was a fun journey to go through many iterations of these poster designs. It was crucial to include specific details and information while remaining artistic. It was a challenge at times, but as I became more and more comfortable with the ideas and the people I am designing for, it started to come more naturally to me. Including the date, location, and title became essential pieces to the poster's DNA. Within that info, it was fun to play with overlaying lines and working with color.
I started the project by cutting apart large sheets of important words about the individuals we were designing for. It was a useful moment in the process because it gave me a lot more three dimensional thinking than I would creating these marks on the computer.
- Digital Sketching -
I then moved on to digital work, where I worked with the same physics as the cutouts. This gave me several ideas to work with. It was critical to understand the readability of these sketches as it would be portraying valuable information to the three individuals.
- Focused Digital Sketches -
At this point in the project, I had found my groove with the layouts in the past series of sketching. I wanted to play with readability while staying technical paying homage to the inventors themselves. I started working with significant line figures in these designs. I felt the typeface worked really well with extending lines off of it.
